Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Ride Sounds they are reliable, honest and operate with integrity. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for some great car audio technician. Mike always takes the time to answer any question I may have, and provide me with all the options available - from repair to replacement. As an owner, it can be very difficult to find a car audio technician who is knowledgeable, very friendly and you can trust with my vehicle, so I’m very happy to go to Ride Sounds. Mike you are the Best & Awesome guy. Thank you very much.

I bought an apple carplay unit off of Amazon for my motorcycle and he was able to wire it to my battery and mount it to the bike. Also did a very good job at hiding the wires. Will definitely be back for anything else related to my motorcycle or my car!

Wanted to get my daughter applle carplay while she was home from college this weekend. These guys did a great job. The new screen makes the car look like it was made in the past 5 years. My daughter drove back to school and she is very happy. Thanks!
